ARTIST STATEMENT

Alizarin crimson: inner thought. Green gold: life. Nickel azo yellow: softness. Quinacridone gold: balance. Black: grounding, empty of thought, yet rich.  White: clean and open. These colours are earthy, earthly, meditative and grounding. These colours naturally reflect and bring me to my inner world. I do not use pigment to excite a viewer at first glance. The juxtaposition of colour and texture create dimension, a place for the viewer to leave their day to day linear mind and enter their own inner world.
